carved-wave-wood-wall-art-with-vertical-relief-for-contemporary-dining-rooms
Carved Wave Wood Wall Art with Vertical Relief for Contemporary Dining Rooms

This upright relief carries a run of vertical ripples down its full face, cut so the crests bend and gather like water pushed against a current. Both long edges are shaped rather than sawn straight, echoing the ripples they contain. Made from Natural Solid Wood, it reads as one continuous piece of movement and suits a contemporary dining room or a tall hallway wall.

Product Highlights

Vertical ripple relief carved into Natural Solid Wood from top to bottom.

Crest lines bend and cluster rather than running parallel, avoiding a mechanical look.

Wavy outer edges follow the carving instead of boxing it in.

Deep cut channels hold shadow, so the face stays dimensional even in flat daylight.

Upright format works above a dining sideboard or in a narrow feature bay.

Finished with a protective coat that keeps the ridges smooth to the touch.

Design & Craftsmanship

The ripples are gouged in long passes from top to bottom, and the maker lets them wander where the grain resists, which is what produces the gathered, folded sections in the middle of the face. Each crest is then rounded over so the edge does not feel sharp under the hand. The troughs are left slightly rougher than the crests, and that difference in texture is what makes the light break across the surface. Because the outline is cut to follow the outermost ripples, no two panels finish at exactly the same width of curve. The back face is flattened for mounting while the front keeps its full sculpted depth.

Placement & Use

Designed for a contemporary dining room wall, a tall entry, or an open-plan living space where the upright form can be read from a distance. It also holds its own on a landing wall where people pass close to it.

Care & Customization

Run a soft dry cloth down the ripples in the direction they were cut, and use a brush for the deeper channels. Keep the panel off damp walls and out of harsh direct sun. Size and tone finish are chosen at order time, and special requirements can be raised with us before production.

Shipping & Assembly

This piece arrives fully assembled, so there is nothing to build: it is packed as a single unit with protective materials and only needs mounting to the wall.
