The result is a low table with real storage that still looks sculptural from the side. It suits a living room where baskets, throws and books need somewhere to sit within reach.

Product Highlights

Handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood with a smooth hand-worked surface

Rounded top with softly eased edges and corners

Curved sculptural side supports in place of conventional legs

Open lower shelf spans the full width between the supports

Shelf deep enough for baskets, folded throws or stacked books

Grain follows the sweep from the top down to the floor

Size and tone finish chosen when the order is placed

Design & Craftsmanship

Each side is carved from solid stock into a long S-curve, so the piece gets its strength from the shape rather than from added bracing. The lower shelf is let into both sides, which locks the base square and gives the table its second working level at the same time. Because both curves are visible from across a room, they are matched by template and then faired by eye until they mirror one another. Our makers assemble the whole piece dry, check the shelf for level and correct any rock at the feet before finishing. A hand-applied protective coat is carried over the top, the shelf and the curved sides alike.

Placement & Use

Set it in front of a sofa with the long side open to the room so the shelf stays easy to load and unload. In a room short on storage it replaces both a coffee table and a low basket stand.

Care & Customization

Dust both levels with a soft dry cloth, reaching into the curve where the shelf meets the sides. Keep the piece away from damp, radiators and long hours of direct sun, and use a pad beneath hot or wet items. Custom sizing and a choice of tone finish can be arranged before production.

Shipping & Assembly

Each piece is packed with protective materials so it arrives without dents or cracks. Where an item ships in more than one part, detailed assembly instructions are included and every joint is cut to fit together precisely.

Good to Know

Listing includes the coffee table only - decorative items shown in the photographs are not included.

Each coffee table is handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood, so grain, texture and tone vary from piece to piece.

Knots, mineral streaks and tonal shifts are natural characteristics of solid wood, not flaws.

The lower level is an open display shelf between two curved supports; there are no drawers or doors.

Designed for stable placement on flat indoor surfaces.

Each curved support is shaped by hand, so the sweep varies subtly between tables.

Production updates available upon request.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0805/4318/7174/files/coffee-table-with-curved-sculptural-base-in-natural-solid-wood-arboriswood-7_3744a838-3fae-413c-ad70-5dd6e57c88fd.webp?v=1787891167
