crescent-moon-wood-wall-sculpture-with-organic-grain-for-modern-interiors
Crescent Moon Wood Wall Sculpture with Organic Grain for Modern Interiors

A crescent moon cut as a complete shape from Natural Solid Wood, with the inner curve sweeping up to two fine points and the face worked into a soft cratered surface. Because the silhouette is the artwork, there is no panel and no border: the wall itself supplies the night sky. It gives a quiet room a single calm, recognisable form.

Product Highlights

Complete crescent silhouette cut from Natural Solid Wood, with no surrounding panel.

Face worked into a soft cratered surface rather than left flat.

Inner curve tapers to two fine points, carved last and eased carefully.

Grain figure runs across the crescent and doubles as lunar texture.

Reads clearly from a distance, which suits large wall areas.

Protective surface coat over a finely sanded face.

Design & Craftsmanship

The outer and inner curves are cut first and then refined together, because a crescent only looks right when the two arcs are in sympathy along their whole length. The face is then hollowed in shallow overlapping scoops that suggest craters without ever becoming literal, and the maker keeps them irregular so the surface never falls into a pattern. The two points are the slowest part of the work: they are thinned gradually and eased over so they stay strong. The edge of the crescent is rounded all the way round, which is what lets it catch a soft line of light against the wall. The back is flattened for mounting.

Placement & Use

Made for a living room wall above a sofa, a bedroom, or a panelled reception wall. It suits rooms where the wall behind it is plain enough to act as the sky.

Care & Customization

Dust the cratered face with a soft dry cloth and take care around the two points. Keep the piece away from damp and out of direct sun for long periods. Size and tone finish are chosen at order time, and custom dimensions can be discussed with us before production.

Shipping & Assembly

This piece arrives fully assembled, so there is nothing to build: it is packed as a single unit with protective materials and only needs mounting to the wall. Mounting instructions are included.

Good to Know

The listing is for one carved wall sculpture only; the sofa, armchairs, table, wall panelling and accessories shown are not included.

Some photographs show concealed lighting placed behind the crescent to create a halo; no lighting or electrical fitting is supplied with the piece.

Wall screws and anchors are not supplied and must be matched to your wall type.

We recommend a professional fitter for the heavier pieces.

Each crescent is carved by hand, so the cratered texture differs from the photographs.

Knots, mineral lines and tonal movement are natural to solid wood and are not faults.

Intended for indoor walls only.

Production updates available upon request.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0805/4318/7174/files/crescent-moon-carved-wall-art-luxury-modern-interior_1.webp?v=1789371435
https://arboriswood.com/products/crescent-moon-wood-wall-sculpture-with-organic-grain-for-modern-interiors
