flowing-canyon-wood-wall-sculpture-with-layered-organic-relief-texture
Flowing Canyon Wood Wall Sculpture with Layered Organic Relief Texture

A wide relief of deep folded ridges that run diagonally across the face, meeting and parting like the walls of a narrow canyon. The folds are cut with real depth, so the shadow between them is as much a part of the piece as the timber itself. Carved from Natural Solid Wood, it brings weight and texture to a long wall in a calm room.

Product Highlights

Deep folded ridges running diagonally across the full width of the face.

Ridges meet and part, leaving narrow shadowed channels between them.

Carved from Natural Solid Wood, with the figure drawn along each fold.

Substantial relief depth gives the panel presence from across a room.

Wide horizontal format suited to long living room and hallway walls.

Protective surface coat over smoothly finished fold faces.

Design & Craftsmanship

The folds are set out diagonally so they cross the board rather than running with its length, which forces the carving to work against the grain in places and gives the ridges their varied surface. Each fold is rounded on its crest and cut down steeply on one side, producing the strong one-sided shadow that reads as canyon wall. Where two folds converge the maker blends them into a single ridge rather than letting them collide, and those junctions are the parts that take longest to resolve. The deeper channels are finished with narrow tools and sanded carefully so nothing is left rough at the bottom. The border is trued square to contain the diagonal movement.

Placement & Use

Suits a long living room wall, a wide hall, or a lounge where a single textured surface is wanted. Side lighting deepens the channels and gives the piece its strongest reading.

Care & Customization

Wipe the fold crests with a soft dry cloth and clear the channels with a brush. Keep the panel away from damp walls and out of direct sun for long spells. Size and tone finish are chosen when ordering, with custom work available by prior arrangement.

Shipping & Assembly

This piece arrives fully assembled, so there is nothing to build: it is packed as a single unit with protective materials and only needs mounting to the wall.
