The petals vary in size and lie at slightly different angles, which stops the surface reading as a repeat. Cut from Natural Solid Wood, it turns a long wall into a single piece of texture.

Product Highlights

Overlapping carved petals covering the entire face of the panel.

Every petal is undercut so it stands clear of the layer behind it.

Petal size and angle vary across the face, avoiding any repeating pattern.

Carved from Natural Solid Wood with the grain running through the layers.

Wide horizontal format designed for long living room walls.

Protective surface coat over finely sanded petal faces.

Design & Craftsmanship

Work proceeds from one corner outward, each petal cut and undercut before the next one is started, so the overlap is genuine rather than suggested by shading. The maker varies the size as the surface fills, keeping the larger petals toward the centre and letting them shrink at the borders, which gives the field a subtle swell. Because every petal edge is lifted, the panel carries a great many small shadow lines and stays alive under almost any lighting. The petal faces themselves are dished slightly so they hold light in their centres. The outline is squared and the border kept flat for mounting.

Placement & Use

Made for a long living room wall, a dining room, or a wide entry. It works in bright rooms as well as dim ones, since the relief depth carries the piece rather than the light.

Care & Customization

Dust with a soft brush worked in the direction the petals lie, then finish with a dry cloth. Keep the panel clear of damp and of sun resting directly on it for hours. Size and tone finish are selected at order time, and bespoke proportions can be arranged before production.

Shipping & Assembly

This piece arrives fully assembled, so there is nothing to build: it is packed as a single unit with protective materials and only needs mounting to the wall.
