modern-solid-wood-coffee-table-with-rounded-top-and-broad-pedestal-supports
Modern Solid Wood Coffee Table With Rounded Top and Broad Pedestal Supports

A modern coffee table in Natural Solid Wood, its top drawn as a long rounded rectangle with the corners fully softened so the outline reads almost as a stretched oval. Broad pedestal supports carry it, each relieved by a rounded arch where it meets the floor. The result is substantial but never blocky, which suits a living room with a strong architectural backdrop.

Product Highlights

Handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood with a smooth hand-finished top

Long rounded-rectangle outline with fully softened corners

Broad pedestal supports relieved by an arch at floor level

Open span between the supports keeps the base visually light

Wide surface for shared meals, books and serving pieces

No drawers, doors or shelving in the structure

Size and tone finish chosen at the point of order

Design & Craftsmanship

Each pedestal is built from joined solid stock and then relieved with an arch, which does two jobs at once: it lifts the visual weight and it gives the support two clean bearing points on the floor. Our makers cut the arch and smooth its inner curve with the grain, because an unrefined edge there is obvious from a seated view. The top is planed flat and its corners worked round by hand until the outline flows continuously with no felt change of direction. Everything is dry-fitted and trued before any finish is applied, so the table stands solid from the first day. A gentle protective coat is then rubbed in, giving depth to the grain without a glassy surface.

Placement & Use

Its length suits a long sofa or a sectional run, where the table can serve every seat rather than only the middle. It also works well as a gathering surface in an open-plan room, since the supports are set in from the ends and leave space for stools to tuck alongside.

Care & Customization

Use a soft dry cloth for dusting and clear spills promptly rather than letting them stand. Keep the piece out of direct sun and away from damp or heated corners, and rest a pad under anything hot or wet. Sizing and tone finish can both be tailored before production begins.

Shipping & Assembly

Each piece is packed with protective materials so it arrives without dents or cracks. Where an item ships in more than one part, detailed assembly instructions are included and every joint is cut to fit together precisely.

Good to Know

Listing includes the wooden coffee table only - decorative items shown in the photographs are not included.

Each coffee table is handcrafted, so grain, texture and tone vary from piece to piece.

Knots, mineral streaks and tonal shifts are natural in solid wood rather than defects.

The arch cut into each pedestal is a structural relief, not a storage opening.

There are no drawers, doors or shelves anywhere in the piece.

Designed for stable placement on flat indoor surfaces.

Production updates available upon request.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0805/4318/7174/files/sculptural-rounded-coffee-table-modern-city-living-room_1.webp?v=1789370481
https://arboriswood.com/products/modern-solid-wood-coffee-table-with-rounded-top-and-broad-pedestal-supports
