The hourglass line gives the piece a taut, held-in look while keeping its footprint broad. It works well where a table needs presence without bulk.

Product Highlights

Handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood with a protective surface coat

Hourglass body that narrows through the waist and flares at the floor

Softly squared top with rounded corners and an eased edge

Wide base pad keeps the table steady on hard floors and rugs alike

One continuous form rather than a top set on separate legs

Each waist is cut by hand, so the waist falls a little differently

Size and tone finish are chosen when the order is placed

Design & Craftsmanship

Joined blocks of kiln-dried solid wood are carved together into a single body, which lets the waist be cut deep without introducing a weak joint at the narrowest point. Our makers work the waist from four sides and keep checking the silhouette, because an hourglass shows any unevenness immediately. The flare at the bottom is left broad and true so the table meets the floor over a generous area. The top is planed level and softened at its corners, giving a square outline that is gentle to lean on. A hand-rubbed finish seals the surface and keeps the grain readable as it sweeps through the waist.

Placement & Use

It stands well beside an armchair or at the end of a sofa, holding a drink and a book. In a bedroom it serves as a compact nightstand with nothing protruding. Against a wall it can simply carry a lamp or a small plant.

Care & Customization

Dust the top and follow the waist down with a soft dry cloth. Keep the table away from direct sun, radiators and humid corners, and use a coaster under wet glasses. Custom sizing and a choice of tone finish can be agreed before we begin making.

Shipping & Assembly

Each piece is packed with protective materials so it arrives without dents or cracks.
