natural-solid-wood-coffee-table-with-irregular-top-and-cutout-slab-supports
Natural Solid Wood Coffee Table With Irregular Top and Cutout Slab Supports

The top of this Natural Solid Wood coffee table is deliberately irregular, its outline rising into soft lobes and pulling back again so the shape shifts as you walk around it. Two slab supports hold it up, each carrying a rounded opening that reads as part of the sculpture rather than a saving of material. It brings movement to a living room otherwise full of straight lines.

Product Highlights

Handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood with a gently finished, tactile top

Irregular outline that changes profile from every viewing angle

Slab supports pierced by softly rounded openings

Low, grounded stance with a clear span between the supports

Broad working surface for books, bowls and a serving tray

No drawers, doors or shelving in the structure

Size and tone finish chosen at the point of order

Design & Craftsmanship

Nothing about this outline is drawn with a template: the lobes are marked freehand on the joined panel and then cut, so their rhythm belongs to that one table. Our makers fair each curve individually and roll the edge over by hand, checking the profile from a seated height rather than from above, since that is how the table is normally seen. The supports are shaped from the same solid stock and their openings worked until the inner surface is as smooth as the face. Both are dry-fitted under the top and trued so the piece stands firm before finishing. A light protective coat is worked in at the end, sealing the surface while leaving the grain open to the touch.

Placement & Use

Set it in front of a sofa where its shifting outline can be read against the straight line of the seating. It also suits a garden room or a wide hallway seat, where a sculptural silhouette earns its keep even when the table is not in use.

Care & Customization

Clean with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills promptly rather than letting them stand. Keep the piece away from damp, radiators and long spells of direct sunlight, and use a mat beneath hot or wet objects. Sizing and tone finish can be tailored before the table goes into production.

Shipping & Assembly

Each piece is packed with protective materials so it arrives without dents or cracks. Where an item ships in more than one part, detailed assembly instructions are included and every joint is cut to fit together precisely.

Good to Know

Listing includes the wooden coffee table only - decorative items shown in the photographs are not included.

Each coffee table is handcrafted, so grain, texture and tone vary from piece to piece.

Knots, mineral streaks and shifts in figure are natural in solid wood and are not faults.

Support comes from a pair of pierced slabs rather than legs, with no drawer, door or shelf.

Designed for stable placement on flat indoor surfaces.

Because the outline is cut freehand, no two tops share the same profile.

Production updates available upon request.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0805/4318/7174/files/freeform-sculptural-coffee-table-coastal-living-room_1.webp?v=1789370437
https://arboriswood.com/products/natural-solid-wood-coffee-table-with-irregular-top-and-cutout-slab-supports
