organic-openwork-wood-wall-sculpture-with-three-flowing-sculpted-voids
Organic Openwork Wood Wall Sculpture with Three Flowing Sculpted Voids

A long horizontal openwork sculpture carved from Natural Solid Wood, with three flowing voids opened through a low sweeping body. The timber between the voids is drawn out into slender curving bands that cross and recombine, so the piece behaves more like a drawing in space than a panel. It is made for a wide wall that can be seen from across a room.

Product Highlights

Three flowing voids cut fully through the body of the sculpture.

Slender curving bands cross and recombine between the openings.

Carved from Natural Solid Wood with the grain running the length of each band.

Low sweeping silhouette with no straight edge anywhere on the piece.

Rounded profiles on both faces for a soft reading from any angle.

Protective surface coat over a finely finished surface.

Design & Craftsmanship

The three voids are opened up progressively, and the maker keeps checking the bands between them against the light, because their width is what decides whether the piece reads as heavy or as drawn. Every band is rounded on both faces and tapered along its run, so the section changes continuously and no part of the sculpture looks like stock timber. Where two bands cross, one is carried over the other and blended in, avoiding any visible junction. The outer silhouette is cut free-hand and refined last, once the interior is resolved. Only the small areas that touch the wall are flattened at the back.

Placement & Use

Designed for a wide living room wall, a music room, or a gallery-like corridor where the openwork can be read against plain plaster. Even, diffuse light shows the crossing bands best.

Care & Customization

Wipe the bands with a soft dry cloth and clear the voids with a brush. Keep the piece away from damp and out of long direct sunlight. Size and tone finish are selected when ordering, and custom proportions can be arranged with us first.

Shipping & Assembly

This piece arrives fully assembled, so there is nothing to build: it is packed as a single unit with protective materials and only needs mounting to the wall.
