oval-ring-base-office-desk-with-three-drawers-and-broad-organic-worktop
Oval Ring Base Office Desk With Three Drawers and Broad Organic Worktop

A broad organic worktop in Natural Solid Wood rests here on an upright oval ring at one end and a softly cornered three-drawer pedestal at the other. The ring lifts the top clear of the floor while leaving an opening you can see straight through, which keeps a substantial desk from closing off the room. It reads as a considered centrepiece for a serious home office.

Product Highlights

Handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood with a smooth hand-worked surface

Upright oval ring support with a clear opening through the middle

Three drawers in a pedestal with softly rounded corners

Broad organic worktop with a gently moving outline

Open span between the supports for comfortable legroom

Rounded pedestal corners keep the desk friendly to walk past

Size and tone finish chosen at the point of order

Design & Craftsmanship

An oval is harder to fair than a circle because the curve is always changing, so the ring is cut oversize and then worked back in small passes until the line flows without a flat. Our makers smooth the inner and outer faces to the same finish, since the ring is seen from both sides in an open room. The pedestal is built with its corners rounded through the full height, which takes more shaping than a square box but makes the desk far easier to live with. Each drawer is fitted to its own opening and the stack adjusted until the fronts sit level. Ring, pedestal and top are trued together before a hand-applied protective coat goes on.

Placement & Use

Let the ring end face into the room so the opening is visible rather than lost against a wall. The worktop gives room for a screen, papers and a mug at once, while the pedestal keeps the daily clutter behind a drawer front.

Care & Customization

Wipe with a soft dry cloth and pass it round the inside of the ring when dusting. Keep the desk clear of damp, radiators and long spells of direct sunlight, and rest a coaster under anything wet. Sizing and tone finish can be tailored ahead of production.

Shipping & Assembly

Each piece is packed with protective materials so it arrives without dents or cracks.
