sculptural-executive-desk-with-four-drawers-and-organic-open-wood-support
Sculptural Executive Desk With Four Drawers and Organic Open Wood Support

This executive desk in Natural Solid Wood pairs a broad, naturally contoured worktop with two very different supports: a four-drawer pedestal at one end, and at the other a sculpted panel pierced by a deep open cutout. The contrast keeps the desk from feeling like a slab, while the open centre keeps it genuinely workable. It belongs in a light, generously proportioned study.

Product Highlights

Handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood with a gently finished, tactile surface

Sculptural support panel pierced by a deep open cutout

Four drawers stacked in the pedestal at the opposite end

Naturally contoured worktop with a softly moving front line

Open span through the middle for comfortable legroom

Asymmetric structure that reads differently from each side

Size and tone finish chosen at the point of order

Design & Craftsmanship

The cutout is worked outward from a bored start and then smoothed with the grain until the inner face matches the outer one, since light passes straight through it and shows any rough work immediately. Our makers shape the panel first, then build the drawer pedestal to balance it in weight as well as in height. The top is joined from solid blocks, flattened and eased along the working edge for the wrist. Each drawer is fitted individually so the stack lines up, and the whole desk is dry-fitted and trued on a flat surface before finishing. A light protective coat is rubbed in at the end, guarding the timber without covering its texture.

Placement & Use

Position it so the cutout end faces the room, where the opening frames the floor behind it. The worktop is broad enough for a screen, a notebook and a working pile of papers without anything being pushed to the edge.

Care & Customization

Wipe with a soft dry cloth and clear the inside of the cutout when you dust. Keep the piece clear of damp, radiators and direct sunlight, and use a coaster under anything hot or wet. Sizing and tone finish can both be tailored ahead of production.

Shipping & Assembly

Each piece is packed with protective materials so it arrives without dents or cracks.
