three-drawer-office-desk-with-sculptural-loop-support-and-wide-worktop
Three Drawer Office Desk With Sculptural Loop Support and Wide Worktop

This office desk in Natural Solid Wood sets a wide worktop between a three-drawer pedestal and a sculptural loop that rises from the floor and returns to the underside of the top. The loop does the structural work of a leg while behaving like a piece of carving, so the desk holds attention even when nothing is on it. It fits a study where the furniture is part of the room's design.

Product Highlights

Handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood, hand-finished to stay warm underhand

Sculptural loop support carries one end of the worktop

Three drawers stacked in a pedestal at the opposite end

Wide worktop with softly rounded corners and an eased working edge

Open centre for clear legroom and easy chair movement

The loop encloses negative space rather than a shelf or compartment

Size and tone finish selected when the order is placed

Design & Craftsmanship

Shaping a loop from solid timber means working the inside and the outside to the same standard, since both are permanently on show. Our makers cut it oversize, open the inner curve gradually and then smooth it with the grain until the band reads as one continuous thickness. The loop is seated into the underside of the top rather than bolted to its edge, which keeps the join out of sight. The worktop itself is joined from solid blocks, flattened and rounded at the corners so nothing catches as you move past. Drawers are fitted individually, the whole desk is trued, and a gentle protective coat is worked in by hand at the end.

Placement & Use

Angle it so the loop faces into the room, where it can be read against clear floor rather than a wall. The worktop is broad enough for a screen, a keyboard and an open notebook, with the pedestal taking everything that would otherwise clutter the surface.

Care & Customization

Dust with a soft dry cloth, following the curve of the loop as you go. Keep the desk out of direct sun and away from damp or heated corners, and use a mat under drinks. Custom sizing and a choice of tone finish can be agreed before production.

Shipping & Assembly

Each piece is packed with protective materials so it arrives without dents or cracks.
